What is Penguin Day Chicago?

Penguin Day Chicago will bring together nonprofit tech staff, eRiders, consultants, and open source software (OSS) developers for a day of learning and conversation. We'll demystify open source for nonprofits, frankly address the challenges of developing open source tools for non profits and celebrate strengths and successes of open source in the nonprofit sector.

To Do:

The site was never fully moved from Drupal to a true Civicspace installation, because CS was generating errors (which are logged in the CivicspaceLabs issue tracker). Instead, we are using the Drupal core modules with a number of Civicspace modules added in.

Right now new user registrations are not pushed into the contact module, which will eventually be an issue. This will take some tweaking at our end if it is going to happen reliably.

If you work for a nonprofit and you are interested in Open Source, right now there is is no one web site that addresses your unique needs. Our goal is to turn the NOSI website into a place where you can learn about how other nonprofits have used Open Source and gain insight from their experience.
